As far as having printouts with actual WT quotes: That method has now been rendered useless, as after the most recent morning worship on JW Broadcasting, JWs will now believe that any unfavorable WT quote has been doctored by an insidious apostate.

After Jesus fasted for 40 days, he was tempted by a man (not a fallen angel).
by quincemyles inafter jesus fasted for 40 days, he was tempted by a man (not an evil angel) to turn stones into bread, jump from the temple and bow.
the tester was a pharisee of the ruling class.
jehovah's witnesses believe the tester to have been an evil spirit or leader of fallen angels named satan the devil.

Strange JW obituary, a Marshalltown acquaintance from years ago
by FatFreek 2005 ini'm pasting her obituary below following a google search for her children's names.
i was actually wondering whether she was still in the cult.
according to the obit, she was when she passed some 3 years ago but i suspect she was still a fringe jw as i remember her in the 50's.. janet keeler, as i knew her and her husband buck, attended the marshalltown, iowa congregation when she was in her late 20's.

WT uses new Technology ... the Governing Body in 3D
by RubaDub ini am not sure how the wt does it or what technology is used.
but when i look at the jw.org website and look at pictures in the recent publications from the lord's evening meal / last supper, it seems very strange.. i turn on my tv, put on 3-d glasses and the apostles now appear to be current and former members of the governing body.. i turn the tv off, restart it, and it appears to be the same members but now they have changed seats.. very interesting.. rub a dub.

3D and VR is the same thing, different viewing method, its just marketing. (Although a 3dtv is a superior experience)

Wait, you're serious? What does a 3DTV have to do with it? I've got one by the way. Tell me how to access the hidden pictures 😲

Active JWs celebrating birthdays
by neat blue dog ini remember hearing parents say they're going out to eat for their child's birthday some years ago, and recently i see a lot of active jws wishing each other as well as worldly people on facebook a happy birthday, including emoticons related to partying.
is this a judicial offence, or have you seen anything similar?.

BTW the active JWs I mentioned wishing happy birthday to each other over the years (one of whom I know is a regular pioneer) are on the US west coast; I hear they can get liberal over there . . .

Yes, siblings day is a big JW Facebook fad, something they do so they can say 'see, we're normal'. I did see one self righteous JW chastising the others in the comments for acknowledging this 'worldly' occasion.

When I said "a lot", I wasn't exaggerating, but neither did I mean that JWs were doing it "end masse". What I saw was a number of such happy birthday wishes between active JWs from a couple different areas of the US, and one JW even reached out to a worldly relative wishing them the same.
As far as it being judicial, I looked it up in the elder's book and apparently it isn't. Under the list of judicial offences, this is all it has to say about holidays:
"Not all holidays directly involve
false religion and require judicial action."So I guess birthdays are just like Thanksgiving, April Fools Day and some others in that they're discouraged but you can't get disfellowshipped specifically for it. That being said, everyone would be horrified, you wouldn't get any privileges and it might even turn judicial if you flaunt it, thereby falling under the 'brazen conduct' umbrella.
